About the job

Key responsibilities:

1. Design and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment
2. Design, develop, code, test and debug system software
3. Review code and design
4. Analyse and enhance efficiency, stability and scalability of system resources
5. Integrate and validate new product design
6. Support software QA and optimize I/O performance
7. Provide post production support
8. Interface with hardware design and development
9. Assess third party and opensource software

2. BE/ME in Electronics/CS/EEE/Mechatronics Engineering

3. Expertise in 8/16/32 bit ARM Series microcontrollers

4. Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets

5. Solid programming experience in Embedded C/C++, Python, Java

6. Proven experience in embedded systems design with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems

7. Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review

8. Excellent knowledge of PCB Design, OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces, and hardware subsystems

9. Experience in Communication Protocols like Modbus, I2C, MQTT, HTTP, SPI, RS232 LoRa, LoRaWAN, etc.

10. Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components

11. Strong documentation and writing skills

12. Drive for Results - should has passion for Embedded, Robotics and drive results with teamwork

13. Relationship Builder - should be capable of conversing comfortably with his colleagues & internal development team

14. Organizing Skills - should be methodical, analytical & possess logical reasoning

15. Good verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills

16. An aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions tackle business problems

Solar panel installations can either be in solar farms or on rooftops (like car parks, manufacturing plants, etc.). We have both remote-controlled and autonomous robots to clean solar panels in solar farms and are currently developing a small autonomous robot for cleaning rooftop solar installations. We are also developing autonomous robots for vegetation management near solar panels and for the surveillance of solar farms.
